“He that hath ears to hear, let him hear”. A. Camus and F.M. Dostoyevsky: attitude to nihilism

The aim of the article is to demonstrate the actuality and the negative impact of nihilism, to reveal the attitude of Camus and Dostoyevsky to this trend and expose the reasons of Camus’ fragmentary understanding Dostoyevsky. While writing the article the works of both authors were used along with the video materials of Camus’ interviews in French. Camus’ article “Pour Dostoïevski” (“About Dostoyevsky”), which occurred in Russian earlier only partly, was translated completely. The original text and its translation are put in the article’s appendices. The articles of the researchers studying Camus and Dostoyevsky were used as well.
