The cult of the Holy Trinity in Pskov and its transformation in connection with the changing political situation in the second half of the 15th century

The subject of this article is the patronage cult of the Holy Trinity in Pskov and its transformation in the second half of the 15th century. The chronicle material allows analyzing the main manifestations of this cult and highlighting its political coloring. With the change in the political situation (propinquity with Moscow) cult has changed. Thus, the phrase «The Holy Trinity and the Grand Prince» appeared in the chronicle news, which became a reflection of the new political reality.
