The article reconstructs the main features of the “culture of justice” in the philosophy of Plato and Aristotle. The thesis is put forward that in the teachings of these thinkers the concept became a reflection on the structure of the ancient polis, which brought a special value aspect to education, that was of interest in terms of cultural phenomena in which justice could be realized. The main points of the Platonic and Aristotelian heritage can be found in contemporary culture, in which significant importance is attached to higher education as a condition for access to fair social treatment. At the same time, receiving a degree cannot be a guarantee of access to a just order of life, since often the choice of professional training direction is made with insufficient awareness. As a result, the individual does not develop the dominant ability, which moves him away from understanding the idea of justice and receiving the benefits of fair treatment associated with it. The author presumes that the aspects described can be taken into account in the discussion about the future theory of justice in a multicultural world.
