Бесплатный доступ

In the context of the digitalization of public life, which has also affected the sphere of art, art history is becoming an interdisciplinary field of knowledge. In this regard, there is a need to change the methods of teaching art history disciplines in educational institutions. Such methods should be a culture of participation and cultural mediation, ensuring the involvement of students in the formation of the content of the discipline “History of Art”. The article describes the specifics of these methods and presents the experience of using cultural mediation and adapting the methods under consideration to educational activities. It is concluded that a direct appeal to the methods of participation culture and cultural mediation makes the process of teaching art history more open, conscious, and students get the opportunity and the right to vote not formally, but really discuss conflicting, complex issues “to whom, how and why art in general must be taught or transmitted through mediation”.
