Culturalization as a part of videogame localization process

This article examines the specifics of culturalization as a part of localizing a video game. Localization is the process of adapting a product to the cultural peculiarities and legal requirements of another country. Culturalization is an important element of the localization process as it is aimed at adding or editing various game elements. Culturalization can be separated into proactive and reactive, which determines the changes made to the videogame. The article provides examples of changes to in-game content in videogames that are made to adapt a software product to different markets.
