Cultural and leisure activities as a means of resocialization of foreign students

The number of foreign students in Russia is increasing every year, which creates the problem of their resocialization. Assimilation of new values, rules and norms of behavior is a difficult process, especially for adults. This circumstance requires special attention from universities where foreign students study. However, the results of the work could be better, it is necessary to consider new opportunities, other methods, forms and means of work. At first, it is difficult for foreign students to express themselves in the educational process at a high level, while everyone has a need for self-realization and demonstration of their strengths. Cultural and leisure activities of foreign students, which are carried out systematically according to a specially designed program, can be successfully used to meet this need. This program should contain two directions: satisfaction of foreign students’ ambitions and development of values of the Russian culture by them. The success of such a program is proved by the example of South Ural State University.
