Museum cultural and leisure activities in the system of patriotic education of the student youth

The formation of patriotism of the younger generation today is one of the significant problems of the state and society. Multipolarity of the opinions, judgements, world and interethnic conflicts make adolescents' socialization and self-determination difficult. Functioning of the entire system of patriotic education and the purposeful activities of the social institutions intended to do that is significant in these conditions. The article considers the experience of Kyakhta museum of local history of the academician V.A. Obruchev in the personality's formation, patriotism, spiritual and moral development. The work provides the results of studying the schoolchildren of Kyakhta, their assessment of some forms of the museum work.
