The paper examines current issues of cultural and psychological barriers in international tourism and mechanisms for overcoming them in the context of globalization. This study aims to analyze the main types of barriers hindering effective intercultural interaction in the tourism industry and to develop practical recommendations for their elimination. The paper provides a detailed analysis of linguistic, ethnic, religious, and value- normative barriers that affect the quality of tourism services and consumer satisfaction. Particular attention is paid to the psychological aspects of intercultural interaction, including stereotypes, prejudices, and cultural attitudes that create communication barriers between participants in the tourism process. The study identified the main types of cultural and psychological barriers, developed mechanisms for overcoming them, and proposed innovative approaches to organizing intercultural interaction in the context of international tourism. The author emphasizes the need to develop intercultural competence among tourism personnel and specialized training programs for specialists capable of working effectively in a culturally diverse environment. The study’s results demonstrate that the implementation of modern information technologies, digital solutions, and innovative methods for addressing cultural differences can significantly reduce the impact of psychological barriers on the quality of tourism services.
