Course work as a learning activity in the structure of the training library and information professionals

The article attracts attention to course work as a means of attracting future librarians to research, design and innovation. We present the experience of the Department of library science and bibliology Moscow State Institute of Culture on the organization of coursework at the bachelor degree in “Library and information activities”. Specifically, we study the choice of coursework in preparation of masters in library and information work. Economic and pedagogical effectiveness of the course work are analyzed.
