The relationship between life satisfaction and self-esteem in adolescents: a narrative review

This study was conducted to highlight and compare the different variables such as life satisfaction and self-esteem in adolescence. The proposed research was analyzed to determine the relationship between the two and the consequences this has on the adolescent or developmental stage, where physical, emotional, social, and psychological changes occur. The research was conducted by collecting data derived from an academic research study, which allowed this question to be understood and answered or explained. A positive relationship was observed between self-esteem levels and life satisfaction in adolescence, indicating that high self-esteem contributes to subjective well-being at this stage of development. Understanding these findings can contribute to the design of psychological and educational interventions aimed at strengthening self-esteem as a strategy to improve adolescents' quality of life.
