Laboratory diagnostic in bladder cancer

Currently, a large spread automated method for the diagnosis of tumors - flow cytometry. Results were analyzed urine flow cytometry sludge RMP 86 patients (72 males and 14 females) and 30 patients suffering from benign disease bladder (n = 116). Analysis of flow cytometry was possible in 78 urine samples (90.7%) from bladder cancer patients. In both groups of patients RMP sensitivity of flow cytometry was higher sensitivity cytological studies 72% and 54%, respectively, for the first time, the group of patients with bladder cancer identified, and 70% and 50%, respectively, for the monitoring group. Specificity flow cytometry was 86%, specificity of the cytological studies - 100%.
