Lexical group "stomach" in Latin medical terminology

The article analyzes the anatomical, pharmaceutical and clinical terms that are included in the terminological field «stomach». We payed attention to interconnectedness of the word-building elements used in these terms. Our research emphasizes the important role of Latin authentic texts for the systematization of terminological material, stimulation of feeling for language, selection of word associations from foreign languages for Latin medical terms, development of the interest in the studied discipline is noted. Examples of synonyms based on this selection of terms associated with the anatomical organ «stomach» are given.
