The article considers the specificity of training elementary grades pupils at ballet schools in the aspect of the creative abilities disclosure. The author gives arguments for the necessity of using the personality-oriented approach in the improvement of choreographic education. The requirements to the teacher, according to the personality-oriented approach, are investigated in details, the importance of a personality-oriented approach in the development of students creative abilities are emphasized.
