Personal determinants of the formation of social stereotypes

The influence of personal determinants on the formation of social stereotypes is considered. The personal determinants of stereotyping are identified and described, which include age, risk-taking, low level of creativity and conservatism, quick thinking and selfdoubt. The importance of an interdisciplinary approach for understanding the origin of social stereotypy is emphasized. It is concluded that personal factors play an essential role in the process of formation of social stereotypes.
