Personality characteristics of security police employees with prenosological somatic health disorders

The article represents the results of the research of personality traits, valued attitudes and coping strategies of security police employees of the Ministry of internal Affairs with somatic health disorders of prenosological level. The experimental group consisted of employees with severe somatic complaints (without differentiation of particular syndromes), who fit the medical examination to further service. Personality characteristics that significantly differentiate this group of employees and the control group with no signs of somatic disorders were analyzed manifested by impulsivity, suspiciousness against the people, vulnerability, hypochondricity, high conservatism, a tendency to moralization and preachments, dissatisfaction with their job activity and family relationship. Their more distinct inclination to use manipulative and antisocial strategies to overcome difficulties that are considered destructive was recognized.
