The personal peculiarities of perception movies with scenes of violence

The results of psychosemantic evaluation of movies with scenes of violence and its links with personality traits of spectators-students were conducted. It was found that the psychosemantic evaluation of movies with violence scenes and personality traits correlated. Neuroticism was negatively correlated with “psychosemantic evaluation” and positively correlated “psychosemantic potency” of movies with violence scenes. Psychoticism and sensation seeking were positively correlated with “psychosemantic evaluation” of movies with violence scenes. Also psychoticism was negatively correlated with “psychosemantic potency” of movies with violence scenes. The psychosemantic evaluation of movies with scenes of violence and neuroticism measures interacted.
