The paper presents the sociological survey results that identify the trends in leadership among the heads of educational institutions. While developing the managerial culture of the personality at the early stages, its involvement in informal social leader relations plays a significant role. In the authors’ opinion, the demonstration of leadership lays the foundation for building the managerial culture and determines its further development. The development of individual intellectual and moral leadership skills is of great importance in the managerial culture of a leader. The proper assessment of the situation, one’s resources, and capabilities of the group is essential for leaders as well. The data obtained extend the idea of the teachers’ attitude to the demonstration of leadership and the managerial culture of the head of an educational institution. The study shows that several teachers highly appreciate discipline, hard work, and perseverance in achieving the goals of their leaders. However, only 50% of teachers attach great importance to the personal qualities of their leaders, noting their leadership traits. The authors conclude that it is rather difficult to identify the priority impact of leadership skills on the level of the managerial culture. Nevertheless, it is the leadership that indirectly allows the heads of educational institutions to form a high level of the managerial culture.
