The paper presents a summary of key issues and main outcomes of the international conference ‘Languages in Medical Education and Healthcare’ and their reflection in the present conference proceedings. The author outlines research and methodological approaches which the conference participants follow and classify them into linguistic, including discursive, cognitive and morphological, and applied linguistic paradigms. The author makes a conclusion about a correlation between the findings of linguistic research and their significant didactic potential for medical education.
