Linguistic and didactic aspects of formation of media competence in the course of teaching foreign language at university

The article deals with linguistic and didactic aspects of formation of media competence at students of linguistic universities. The author highlights the structure of media competence and grounds its importance for future professionals in the field of foreign languages, pays special attention to the role of information and communication technologies for formation of media competence and points at necessity of their use in the course of teaching foreign languages.
