Linguoconflictogenicity as a parameter of the national style of verbal communication (on the example of discourse markers)

In the proposed article, the concept of national style of verbal communication is considered in terms of two parameters: linguistic conflictogenicity and linguistic tolerance. The functional approach in the research allows revealing the typical linguistic means of linguistic conflictogenicity in the Russian and English languages - discourse markers, the pragmatic potential of which consists in their functions realized in the context. Corpus analysis of language means allows studying these phenomena on authentic speech usage. Such "conflictogenic" means strengthen the categoricality of the statement, increase the degree of communication, intensify the negative tone of speech. The study of linguistic conflicts is relevant for further study of the typical linguistic means of actualizing linguistic tolerance in the light of globalization, cross-cultural communication, integration, migration and urbanization of modern society. Each linguoculture has its own specificity and criteria for assessing the conflictogenicity of a statement.
