Linguistic and stylistic means of the development of the image of the characters in the context of the plot and composition structure of the story “The hitch-hiker” by R. Dahl

The article deals with the linguistic and stylistic means of the development of the image of the character in the story of the English writer R. Dahl. There is paid special attention to the concepts ‘character’s image’ and ‘composition and dynamics of storyline’. There is substantiated that the image of the character is fully revealed not only at the level of the linguistic means but also at the level of the plot and composition peculiarities of the text.
