Lapbook as a product of school students’ activity at English classes

The article discusses the possibilities of using Lapbooking in English lessons and substantiates the relevance of using this pedagogical technology in combination with other methods and pedagogical technologies in the context of the updated Federal State Educational Standards. The authors describe the types of lapbooks - interactive thematic folders depending on the purpose, form and organization of the material, as well as ways to organize work on them (individual, pair and group). Particular attention is paid to the organization of group work to create a lapbook as a project, a step-by-step algorithm has been developed taking into account the requirements for students in small groups, the stage of goal setting, activity planning, direct work on a lapbook project, work report and reflection. Variants of lapbook projects for students of different levels of secondary school are described and examples of lexical and grammatical topics that can be worked out using this pedagogical technology in specific parallels are given. Each example is supplemented with practical recommendations for organizing work on them, based on the pedagogical experience of the authors. At the end of the article, the authors make a conclusion about the universality and modernity of lapbooking and the potential of this pedagogical technology for the development of universal learning activities for students.
