“Speech people”: the modern Russian language of the official and ordinary communication

The article deals with the specific features of the Russian official and unofficial verbal communication in the aspect of the fundamental functions of the language - informative and appellative. On the basis of the different levels of the language there are analyzed the means of revealing the topic and rheme of the statement, the means of the confidence and intimization of the speech. The author finds out some new tendencies of the theme and rheme indication, completed by the phonetic, lexical and syntactic means (the inside-the-word rise and fall of the intonation, the vertical segmentation and parceling and the distant parceling).
