The memoir essay reflects the prehistory and the early years of the formation of the state republican television broadcasting of Ingushetia. The author, an active participant and witness of the events, spent 37 years working on television. At the age of 18, she came to work as an announcer on Grozny Television (1974) and in the process of career growth she rose to the position of chief director of the broadcasting program directorate (1987-1993). In subsequent years (1993-1995; 2009-2011) she served as chair (director) of the Ingushetia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company. In the published first part of the memoir text the author characterizes the position, professional qualities, and creative contribution of representatives of the Ingush intelligentsia that made a personal impact on the formation of the cultural image of the state television and radio of the Chechen-Ingush ASSR in the 1970s-1980s. Combining elements of biographical, cultural-historical and ideological-aesthetic analysis, the author of the essay reconstructs a number of wonderful creative portraits and shows a fruitful connection between generations. In the lens of attention is a topic that is practically not disclosed in modern books on the history of the Chechen-Ingush radio and television (including A. Kusaev’s textbook Chechen Radio and Television: Stages of Formation and Development (1928-2003), published in 2013 for students of the Faculty of Journalism of Grozny University). This prompted the author of the memoirs to tell in detail about the activities of the Ingush editorial office - a structural unit that functioned on the television of the Checheno-Ingush Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic in the 1960s-1980s along with editorial offices and broadcasting departments in Chechen and Russian. In total, about 40 remarkable specialists worked in the Ingush editorial office. Many of them later, since 1992, participated in the creation of the Ingushetia State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company. The facts that influenced the transition period and the first steps in the formation of television in the Republic of Ingushetia are reflected and explained. The influence of turbulent sociopolitical processes on military journalism (the role of a TV journalist in preparing reports from the zone of armed conflicts) is shown. The history of television in the Republic of Ingushetia will be told in the second part of the memoir essay, which will be published in the next issue of the Heritage of Centuries journal.
