Radiation diagnostics of organizing pneumonia

Summary. Clinical data, radiological images and treatment results of 1240 patients with organizing pneumonia (OP) were observed. We evaluated possibilities of traditional chest radiography and high resolution computed tomography (HRCT) in diagnosis of OP. Our results confirmed that traditional chest radiography findings of OP are nonspecific and HRCT is actually the recommended imaging technique in the suspecting of OP. OP should be considered as a distinct nosological entity. Features of OP are different depending on etiology.
