Radiation diagnostics of "failed back surgery syndrome" (lecture - part I)

The lecture is devoted to the actual problem of radiation diagnosis of the causes of the syndrome of "failed surgical treatment of the back". It described the algorithm of magnetic resonance imaging (the leading method of assessing the macrostructure of the spine) in the diagnosis of pain, which is caused by degenerative processes in the spine. Taking into account the radiological methods of the study, the lecture presents radiation semiotics of the main postoperative complications at different times after surgical treatment on the vertebral column. It also reports the frequency and types of complications depending on the type of surgery and presents the results of computed tomography during the installation of vertebral implants, percutaneous vertebroplasty.
