Resume: Objective: Comparative evaluation of the results of radiation therapy squamous cell carcinoma of the skin when using the close-focus x-ray and electron radiation with energy of 6-12 MeV. Materials and methods: The article presents the results of radiation therapy of the two groups of patients with basal cell skin cancer (80 patients) using close-focus radiation therapy (40 patients) and electron radiation with energy of 6-12 MeV (40 patients). Main results: The study revealed identical long-term results of treatment in both groups of patients in the form of a complete cure. Main findings: The results of radiation therapy allow us to recommend both types of ionizing radiation in all localizations basal cell skin cancer in daily practice in Oncology centers of the Russian Federation. In this case, the irradiation should be based on a "split" rate, which allows to reduce the intensity and duration of the emerging local radiation reaction.
