M. P. Pogodin and slavophils

The article examines the activities of Mikhail Petrovich Pogodin as a historian, journalist, publisher in his relations with leading representatives of early and late Slavophilism, namely: with I. V. and P. V. Kireevsky, A. S. Khomyakov, K. S. and I. S. Aksakov, Y. F. Samarin. His personality is also characterized in communication with those who have been associated with these persons related, friendly and literary relations. This is S. T. Aksakov, A. P. Elagina and her entourage, N. M. Languages, S. P. Shevyrev and others. In this context, the fate of Pogodin’s magazine “Moskvityanin” is highlighted.
