374 elderly patients underwent routine laparoscopic cholecystectomies for chronic calculous cholecystitis since 2006 till 2013. Among them 114 (30,1%) patients, who made the basic group, underwent simultaneous operations. The test group contained 260 patients who underwent isolated laparoscopic cholecystectomy. The age of the patients ranged from 60 to 91 years old. There are 82 (21,9%) patients from 60 to 74 years old, 176 (77,5%) patients from 75 to 89 years old and 2 (0,6%) patients older 89 years old. Men are 38%, women are 61,2%. It is stated that in specialized geriatric departments nearly 30% of patients with calculous cholecystitis need to undergo routine simultaneous operations. Participation of an anesthesiologist, a therapist, a cardiologist, an urologist (for men) is a standard for examining and preparing a planned simultaneous operation. Simultaneous operations for this group of patients compared with test group don’t decline the results of treatment but greatly improve their quality of life due to reducing the number of hospitalizations induced by the second and the third combined surgical disease.
