We have investigated 150 patients of 42-83 years old. We revealed the prevalence of the inherited disorders of connective tissue, sclero-degenerative changes of the aortic valve and calcific aortic stenosis. We've shown that there is predominance of the marfanoid habitus (18%) and mitral valve prolapses (10.7%) in elderly patients. Increasing of number of skeletal connective tissue abnormalities leads to severity of the aortic stenosis. We conclude that marfanoid habitus is the predictor of the development of aortic valve sclerotic changes and calcific aortic stenosis.
