Machine translation of poetic texts: analysis of Deepai and Perplexity translations of William Blake's works

Бесплатный доступ

This study will explore the advantages and disadvantages of artificial intelligence systems such as Perplexity and DeepAI as translators of poetic texts, with a focus on the poetry of William Blake. By analyzing the translations produced by these artificial intelligence models, common errors and inaccuracies have been identified, such as misinterpretations of metaphorical constructs, the absence of original rhythmic and rhymed structures, and semantic precision. The article assesses the extent to which current artificial intelligence translation tools can effectively capture the nuances of poetic form and meaning, highlighting areas that require further improvement. The results obtained are intended to contribute to the development of more sophisticated translation methods using artificial intelligence, adapted for poetic and literary texts, emphasizing the importance of models that take into account context, era, and cultural aspects in the nearest future.
