Mass society in a context of socio-cultural dynamics

The article is devoted to the analysis of the mass society, its main characteristics and functions, role of mass and mass culture, as well as the mythologization of social reality. It is noted that, despite harsh criticism of the phenomenon of mass and mass society actual development of civilization and society shows that these processes have an objective and inevitable at a certain stage of society's development as for the decision of problems facing humanity, the need for coordination, and in this sense the change of individualism come new ways of sharing the collective cooperation.
