Master class on the game of Go as a new format of using intellectual games for the development of logical thinking of students

The article is devoted to the generalization of the experience of organizing a master class on the game of Go in a general education institution. The positive significance of the use of intellectual games in the framework of extracurricular activities of students is revealed. The authors gives a brief description of the history, rules and goals of the Chinese game of Go. A brief description of the master class program developed and implemented at school № 1584 in Moscow to familiarize 5th grade students with the basics of the game of Go is presented. The conclusion is made about the prospects of carrying out activities in a general education institution related to the study of the rules and instilling practical skills of the game of Go for the development of logical thinking of schoolchildren.
