It is necessary to provide a certain level of reliability of agricultural machines for timely implementation of field work in agriculture. Assessment of reliability is most appropriate to carry out on the basis of a comprehensive indicator - the coefficient of technical use. The value of the coefficient of technical use depends on the quality of technical service of machines. Reasonable practical recommendations for achieving the required value of this coefficient can be proposed on the basis of mathematical modeling of the process of ensuring the quality of technical service. It is proposed to present the coefficient of technical use as a product of its base value on the quality factor.
