Matrimonial relations in a young family: gender analysis

The article presents results of the research dealing with the gender specifics of matrimonial relations in young families, carried out by the author in the Centre of Sociological Researches of Astrakhan State University. It is concluded that the model of matrimonial relations is changing gradually, but at the same time young people have stable views and values of the conventional (patriarchal) model of matrimonial relations in the family, where a man is focused on career and social fulfillment, while a woman performs family duties.
