Mediation as an alternative way to resolve disputes arising from the dissolution of marriage

The article considers mediation as an alternative procedure for settling disputes and settling conflicts arising from the dissolution of marriage. The advantages and disadvantages of mediation in comparison with judicial proceedings, the specifics of using this procedure in family disputes concerning the division of property, determining the place of residence of children, as well as the payment of alimony, are analyzed. Special attention is paid to the issue of children's participation in mediation and its consequences.
