Mediation in the world: legal basis of the profession of mediator

Mediation is increasingly being used as an effective method of conflict resolution, especially in matters such as determining the child's place of residence after the parents' divorce. The article examines the main advantages of this approach, including personal participation of the parties in decision-making, confidentiality, time savings, flexibility in decision-making and the possibility of maintaining constructive relationships between parents. The key stages of the motivational process are also presented.
