Media memes as political communication vectors (on the basis of the English and Russian languages)

This study is devoted to current linguistic problems in the field of media communication. The subject of the study is the sphere of media communication. The author's view on the issues of media communication is offered both at the level of theoretical understanding and practical interpretation of media communication situations. The visual channel of media communication as the most relevant means of influence in the system of political communication is subjected to a detailed analysis. The research also reflects the category of media memes. The author's definition of media meme, various classification types and kinds of media memes are introduced. In general, a new view on the English-language and Russian-language political communication phenomena as an environment of constructed media systems is presented. The research methodology reflects a set of methods for descriptive-analytical, contextual and conceptual analyses, the combination of which is the basis for a comprehensive study and understanding of media communication specificity. The research results are related to the establishment of the interaction between the "form and content" pattern components in which the first element is a visual media meme and the second one is a semantic effect on the addressee. The formulated conclusions cover the positions on new means of communication specificity that can construct reality. The results and conclusions of the presented research can be used in the fields of science directly or indirectly related to communication, its political form.
