Media planning in the information management system

The modern information society represents a new stage in the development of human civilization. The paper deals with those transformations that have touched upon the morphology of the social structure of society. The new network structure of the society led to the information and communication space, the change in social practices and processes. The essence of information management is considered as a response to the demands of the modern information society. The purpose of this study is to identify the role of media planning in the information management system. The paper analyzes television media consumption by various social groups segmented by sex and age. The research reveals the problem of managing the targeted delivery of information against a backdrop of the growing number of media and the specific nature of media consumption by various social groups. The author concludes that this problem of information management can be solved through media planning and its tools.
