The mechanism of economic crimes committed in the public sector

The article is devoted to the study of the mechanism of economic crimes in the budgetary sphere. The analysis of ways and techniques of committing such crimes allows to propose the author his own definition of the mechanism of economic crimes in the budgetary sphere, to develop the crime classification based on three criteria, and to identify typical methods of committing crimes in various spheres (social services, agriculture, education, healthcare), as well as the specific features of the embezzlement and theft of material assets.
