The present research is related to in-depth study of affective state and its changes in chronic renal failure (CRF) patients receiving hemodialysis. Our findings show that CRF patients are characterized by decline of overall feeling of health, activity, mood, increase of overall, situational and personal anxiety, bad concentration. We also revealed changes of psycho-physiological state: decreased neuronal capability to differentiate incoming information, disorders of associative process and ineffective feedback between cortical sensitive areas. Some parameters of affective status and psychophysiology were found to be statistically related. Dialysis procedure was capable of partially restoring affective and psychophysiological status in CRF patients.
