Membrane-protective effect of glatiramer acetate in patients with a remitting form of multiple sclerosis

The effect of glatiramer acetate on the structure of lipid phase of erythrocyte cell membranes, the state of lipid peroxidation processes and the antioxidant defense system in 69 patients with a remitting form of multiple sclerosis was studied in the course of 2 years of follow-up. Based on the study of the dynamics of laboratory indicators, a conclusion about the membrane-protective effect of the drug is drawn.
