Ethnocultural event as a resource for tourism development (based on the example of Primorsky krai)

The article examines an ethnocultural event as one of the promising forms of development of event tourism in the region. The relevance of the study is because until recently, ethno cultural events were not considered as independent elements of the event industry. There is no legally established definition and approved classification. In turn, ethnocultural event arrangements are a powerful resource for promoting event tourism and a specific form of popularizing folk culture. The purpose of the study is to determine the significance of an ethno cultural event as a form of popularization and intensification of the development of event ethnocultural tourism, as well as to propose a project for an ethno cultural city festival as a platform for promoting the culture of the peoples of the Primorsky Krai. As part of the study, a theoretical and methodological framework was determined that reflects the essence of the scientific problem. The scientific novelty of the study lies in identifying the main aspects of organizing ethno cultural events, identifying their functions for the development of regional tourism and popularizing the cultural values of the indigenous population of the region.
