The place of poetical image of the plum in seasonal lyric of the "Manyoshu"

The article, based on literary monument the «Manyoshu» discusses the importance of the concept «seasonality» in Japanese poetic tradition. On the example of many-sized and complex image of the plum, borrowed from the nature, is showed the way of involving seasonal symbols in the process of creating a «seasonal imagery» of this poetical compilation.
