This article analyzes the place of visual perception in the process of pilot interaction with instrument information. Attention is paid to reading aircraft instruments, and in particular to visual perception, through which the pilot receives most of the information. The oculomotor activity in human interaction with the environment is considered. The high importance of visual perception in the interaction of the pilot with instrument information is noted, and it is also concluded that it is necessary to take into account the nature of eye movements when studying the human - machine interaction.
