Metaphor as object of the analysis of a work of art at literature lessons («Thirst» by A. Gelasimov)

The article deals with generalization at literature lessons as process phenomena, which stimulates the development of the reader’s activity. The author shows the reader’s evolution: from several variants of the everyday meaning of the word «thirst» to the moral-philosophic meaning in the story «Thirst» by A. Gelasimov. Being one of the elements of A.Gelasimov’s poetry, concept metaphors give an opportunity to reveal the common attitude and perception of the writers and poets of the beginning of the XXI-st century.
