Metaphorization as the way to form the substantive terms of the German metal-processing terminology

The article deals with the metaphorical transfer as one of the sources of developing the vocabulary of the German metal-processing terminology. In the context of the theory of nomination and cognitive linguistics there are described the peculiarities of metaphorization as the way of the formation of terms in the studied term system, there are defined the basic sources of the words' accommodation for the formation of the metaphoric terms, there are revealed their structural and semantic peculiarities.
