The method of spaced repetition in the process of foreign language learning

The article is about the method of spaced repetition, it is effective way of remembering new information, in particular foreign words, for a long time. A brief review of several applications for smartphones, based on this method using the flashcards method and series of other methods is given. The methodological base of the research was the principle of the unity of history and logic, the principle of personal-activity approach, system approach. In the process of the research several studies of domestic and foreign scholars and linguists were analyzed, whose works were concerned with the effective information storage and offered different approaches to solve our problem. The analysis suggests that the availability of programs and applications for smartphones based on the method of spaced repetitions promotes qualitative learning of new information by users. The article is useful for students, preparing for exams, people learning foreign languages, storing large amounts of data and saving their own time.
