Methodological issue of spelling and prescribed punctuation parallel study at secondary school

The article gives a justification of a need for spelling and prescribed punctuation marks parallel study in secondary school, as required by Federal Educational Standard, and employs the rules of "period" use analysis as a mark of spelling and prescribed punctuation as a basis. The article also deals with the "Internet texts" peculiarities that contradict the rules of spelling punctuation. This article attempts to raise awareness about the need to create a work system to study the rules of application for graphic signs as the ones that have several different functions.
