Special attention is paid to the components of writing skills, including spelling, grammar, and speech skills, as well as their interrelationships. The author analyzes key methodological principles for the formation of written skills, such as consistency, a step-by-step approach, conscientiousness, and consideration of the students' age characteristics. The role of written exercises is highlighted as the primary means of skill formation, ranging from reproductive tasks to productive writing activities aimed at developing coherent speech. It is shown that a well-thought-out system of written exercises ensures the steady mastery of language norms and promotes the development of independence, critical thinking, and reflection in schoolchildren. It is noted that the methodically based organization of written work contributes to improving the overall level of students' language culture and provides the basis for the successful mastery of written speech in further education. The practical significance of the research lies in the possibility of applying the developed methodological approaches to Kyrgyz language lessons in school practice.
